Flexible-Seating Classrooms
Student - Centered Classroom Redesign
Have you heard of flexible-seating in the classroom?
Instead of the traditional classroom with rows and rows of desks we are testing the waters with a variety of seating arrangements. And guess what, IT WORKS! I'm a firm believer in keeping the focus on what's really important: the students. Everything I do in my classroom is based on research and best practices for kids.
Students love it, and that's exactly what flexible-seating is about.better results. Happier kids!

Students know that I reserve the right to move them at any time if they aren't fully engaged and able to work in their self-selected spot
Remember, the classrooms should be student-centered, not teacher-centered.
Teaching for meaninful Learning
"Ein Ganim" school students are learning to think outside the box when it comes to choosing a book from the English Room Library.
A short synopsis of each book is placed on a label affixed to the wrapping.
The promotional text (written by the pupils) is brieff, not to give away what the book is about.
Students selected a wrapped book, checked it out and will read the book.
This blind book date encourages students to read a book they might not otherwise select and to have fun doing it!
